Elder & Sister Leary with a little luggage at the Calgary Airport

Sunrise from the flight out of Calgary on a snowy wintery day when we left.

Elder Scott Cook from Sandy, Utah dropping us off at the MTC in Provo after picking us up at the Salt Lake Airport.  Elder Cook, along with Elder Smith from Pleasant Grove, Utah and Elder West from Chelmsford Essex, near London, England, taught us the gospel in 1979 in the Parkland Ward, Calgary.  We have kept in contact with all three of our missionaries and their families over the years.  It has been a great blessing to us to have their continued association in our lives.

I will miss you so very much, but know that you will be blessing so many people & their families. What an adventure you two truly have ahead of you! I love you so so much. You will always be in my thoughts & prayers! Love, your daughter...

  2. You know when you arrived in Regina Saskatchewan(completely different from India)you had the same amount of luggage. No matter how many times you look through it there still are not enough warm clothes for the Saskatchewan winter. We are so glad you accepted the temporary assignment to come here. Our Family feels like we have know you for ever already and we will miss you terribly when you have to leave.
